QUEENIE TO THE RESCUE
Back in the July ish of my so-called newsletter, I introduced you to the newest jock on K-lite's block, Ron South. In August, you got to know the most precious guy on K-lite, Vince. Now there's another addition to the K-lite enterprise, a newsie named Queenie. She checks in during the last hour of Precious and the first two hours of Monica. Now, whenever one of the newsie get sick or something, it won't just be Lindy or Jinji to substitute, there'll be Queenie
to the rescue. UNTITLED
First, there was the K-lite survey, then the K-lite Buzz (the unauthorized so-called newsletter) now, there's the Litebuzz on-line. How was I able to come up with all that? Well, they paid me! (not!) I don't know, I just did. People say that 24 hours is so short a time, but for me, 24 hours is rather long, especially when you're awake most of that 24 hours. K-lite is constantly on your background, you ask yourself, "why do I listen to this radio station?" "do the other listeners consider K-lite as "the" radio station?" "do they get goosebumps whenever they are forced to listen to other radio stations?" questions, questions, the answers came to me in a survey. The said survey, I did via the e-mail, back in the first quarter of 1997. What I did was, I got the e-mail addresses of the people who signed in on K-lite's guestbook. I have printed 50 or more e-mails from those who replied to the survey, which unfortunately
I wasn't able to finish coz I stopped going to school!
THANK YOU
I've been a K-lite listener for 2 years, 4 months and 27 days right this very moment (the 27th of October 98) but it doesn't seem that long to me. I still feel like a new listener anticipating every stuffs K-lite has to offer. And they have a whole lot of those. I don't know if this is a good thing but I feel kinda sorry for those people who are not aware of K-lite.
AEON'S WAY
Should I say "I'm back!" see? I never really went away, I just got busy with making "my" website. My website for K-lite. Oh, that feels good. Having "my" own website. The feeling is very positive. Always makes me happy just thinking about something that I can call my own. Thanks to the freebies on the web, I was able to make the website a reality. Everything and anything that I can think of regarding K-lite is in the website or will be in the website. This so-called newsletter of mine, the survey and so much more as I go further with K-lite being my subject.
Lindy's our AM newsie, Jinji's our PM newsie, well, Queenie's in between the AM and the PM, so, what should we call her? The AM/PM newsie? (like AC/DC), the midday newsie? (sounds okay?!) or Shirley Manson? Why? Well, I don't know if it's just me or my 'dyslexic ear' or what? But when I first heard her, I sort of thought of Shirley Manson, minus the accent. Have you heard Miss Queenie yet? Do you agree with me on this one? Well, it's okay if you don't, I'm not gonna hold it against you, to each his own!
Well, that's all I can write about the newest newsie (sounds redundant?!) of K-lite for now, I still have to know her better on the air! To Miss Queenie, welcome to K-lite! And hope you like your new home! There was suppose to be a marching band to welcome you that Saturday morning you started but I guess, they got caught in traffic or got scared when they saw the building! (hehehe!)
Then back in April 1998, I was on vacation from work, when out of nowhere (don't take it literally!), came the K-lite Buzz-the unauthorized so-called newsletter, now, I really believe that if you have so much time in your hands, you think of all sort of things. Things that are not really necessary but still you do them just because you believe in them so much. So far, I've printed four so-called newsletters, all of which I distributed during K-lite events! The coming newsletters won't be in print anymore, it'll just be updated on the Litebuzz on-line.
September 27, 1998, the day the Litebuzz on-line started floating on the world wide web. It hasn't been a month yet but I'm nearing my 200th hit! Well, with the Litebuzz on-line, I can update my so-called newsletter without worrying on when and where will I be able to distribute them. No more asking of the question, "Are you a K-lite listener?" And I can also continue the survey with the help of 'Bravenet's Votecaster' thing. I'd say, I hit a lot of birds with one stone this time. Thanks to technology! (thanks!) Well, just drop by from time to time to check out what's new regarding the right kind of lite, alright?! (alright!)
K-lite is not just another radio station.
K-lite is "the" radio station.
Knowing K-lite is one of the best things that happened to me in my twenty-something years of being alive. K-lite is considered a best for me because it has been (and still is) my confidence booster.
Unconsciously, the things that I've been doing for K-lite has helped me be more comfortable with other people. I'd say, I've improved a lot in that department. I can now start a conversation going. (yeah!) And I owe most of it to K-lite. The things that I did (and will still do) for K-lite is my way of saying THANK YOU.
Thank you for keeping me company whenever I feel like I needed company.
Thank you for the freebies that I luckily and legally won from you. So far, the freebies I have, that I didn't get through the routine of being the right caller number are the 2nd K-lite Commemorative CD and the personalized invitation to their 3rd year anniversary party.
Thank you for always (or whenever it is available) playing my request.
Thank you for not being just another radio station.
Thank you for being such approachable and unpretentious people.
Thank you for bringing back Twisted on the air.
Thank you for TALKBACK, GIRLTALK, NITELITE & SPORTSLITE.
Thank you for FASTER THAN LITE, CLASSIC LITE, LITE & LIVE, BLACK & LITE, CAREFREE RHYTHM, & CASEY KASEM'S AMERICAN TOP 20 COUNTDOWN.
Thank you for being there.

BLADE, LANNIE CHAN, JINJI, DON HENRY, RON SOUTH, QUEENIE, DJ UNPLUGGED, PAUL RENO & MARTIN GILL & JOSHUA.
THANK YOU.
HAPPY 3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY.
I hope next year, I'll still be "semi-preaching" about the only right kind of lite.
So? How's it been? (as if I know all of you!) Well, nonetheless, I hope you've been keeping K-lite on your background. (I know I am!) I hope everything's okay. This is supposedly the September/October ish of my so-called newsletter, and as expected I'm still late. Hey, I have a valid reason, this website. The last couple of months have been eventful (as always) for me and for K-lite. The month of September, K-lite had the Bar Tour which I wasn't able to catch. They presented the likes of First Circle, Toy Symphony, Parliament Syndicate & Mulatto I heard it was successful though and Blade celebrated his day on the 22nd and this website started floating on the web September 27th. As of writing this I'm celebrating the first month of the Litebuzz on-line.
This month being October, K-lite is celebrating its 3rd year on the air. A few select lucky listeners will be a part of their anniversary party happening on the 29th at Virgin Café. (consider me lucky!) Earlier this month, they had advance screenings for the movies, A Perfect Murder, The Negotiator both of which I had the tickets but opted for Dawson's Creek. And a newsie named Queenie joined the K-lite enterprise. Welcome to K-lite Miss Queenie.
This November, a lot of great stuffs are in store for us, listeners, K-lite is having part-twos to two BIG and absolutely FREE events. First up is, STREETLITE 2, the second K-lite concert series happening every Tuesday nights of the month at STREETLIFE in MAKATI CITY. The bands for the concert series will be the following True Faith, Passage (they also performed during the First Streetlite back in August) Retrospect & South Border. And this freebie is no joke, it's worth a thousand pesos, mind you. Next up is the 2ND K-lite Drive-in movie presenting the movie U.S. MARSHALS the commercial for this one doesn't really tell a whole lot except that it's gonna be better. As if the first one wasn't good enough? If the same deal will be happening, you’ll gonna get FREE food and drinks and ice creams and a raffle. The prizes during the First Drive-in movie were a TV, a CD stereo, bags and K-lite car stickers. This time, let's all wish for BIGGER prizes. (as if the opportunity of being there ain't BIG enough!) Last but definitely not the least are the birthdays of Queenie (08th), Ron South (20th), Lannie Chan (21st), Monica (22nd), Don Henry (24th), Jessica Zafra (26th) & my sister Joanne and my cousin Crystal (both on the 28th) the last two names are not part of K-lite, they just happen to be related to me. So, DON'T forget to greet them or give them presents if you have a lot of cash. And NEVER, never ask them how old they are! (That's a no no!)
What's in store for December? Well, Ricky Martin is coming to town (yay!) not a K-lite subject but he's one GREAT subject I won't get tired of talking about. Let's just wait and see, alright? Patience. And don't worry, as soon as I'm updated with whatever it is that's happening with K-lite, I'm gonna let you know about it. That's a promise. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH. Suggestions, reactions, or if you wanna HELP ME with keeping this website, just e-mail me at marcy76@usa.net I'm sure to take in every possible help that I can get. Again, THANK YOU. And I'll try to have the November ish of this so-called newsletter ready by mid November. I'm not promising but I'm gonna try. Bye for now and I guess, my hunk for this month would have to be Pacey of Dawson's Creek, he's hot nowadays. Just check out one of his websites for visuals on the guy. Well, BYE now. And hope to see ya on the coming K-lite events. May we all get lucky!
